Colipa Statement on Research funding for Commission Call
Cosmetics industry provides EUR 25 million in additional funding to develop a strategy towards alternative solutions to animal testing
The European Commission has launched a Call for Proposals for research into alternative testing methods. This has been backed by additional funding from members of Colipa, the European cosmetics industry. In a unique joint effort, EUR 25 million will be made available by a consortium of Colipa members, matching the funds offered by the European Commission. Total new funding will be up to EUR 50 million.
